Pricing Guide

Design costs vary considerably dependent on factors such as size of project services required ie Planning/ Building Regulations etc

 

However as a guide to a single/double storey extension/new build

 

Initial Meeting Free!! We can spend time discussing your wants and needs and prepare a client brief.

Survey of existing If its a local site this should be £150, for this you will receive plans, elevations and a section of the existing. If you wish to proceed then this fee maybe waved. If the site is further afield I will charge for travel expenses at £0.40 per mile (both ways)

 

I would normally charge the following for for a set of planning drawings. These would be sufficient for Local Authority Planning Consent or Lawful Development requirements.

• Single storey extension – £500 to £750

• Double storey extension – £1000 to 1500

• New build house –£1200 to £2500

 

I would normally charge the following for for a set of Building Regulations drawings.

• Single storey extension – £500 to £1500

• Double storey extension – £1000 to £2000

• New build house – £1200 – £3000

 

For this you will receive a set of plans , sections and elevations and a general specification (with a few details if required) . This is normally sufficient for a contractor to give a price. The drawings are more involved and deal with the technical aspects of the design. This charge also includes revision for building regulation comments that may arise.

 

These can be extended to a set of Construction Drawings that will add more details (useful if you are contemplating self build projects)

There are other costs to bare in mind such as planning and building regulation fees. I can give a rough cost at the preliminary meeting.

 

Further to this there may be other costs involved for external consultants work. These could be required for Structural/Civil engineers work or SAP calculations if required.

 

Any travel to site will attract travel expenses at £0.40 per mile (both ways) Free for initial briefing meeting
